The school Library Media Center, staffed by a certified librarian, is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. It is designed to facilitate research and to provide an opportunity to pursue leisure-reading interests.
Student I.D. cards are required for checking out books and materials. This is to protect the students. I.D. cards should not be loaned to other students for checking out materials, as the I. D. card owner is responsible for all fines and/or replacement costs. Currently, replacement costs average $10.00 for paperbacks and $25.00 for hardcover books. Students with fines or overdue items will not be allowed to checkout any more library materials until their debts are paid.
The Media Center contains many different types and formats of reference resources to help students do research. In addition to the print reference and book collection, magazine and newspaper databases are available online. These resources may also be accessed from the student’s home computer.
Media Center materials are the property of the State of Arizona. Students will be assessed replacement costs for lost or damaged materials.
