Thespians

The International Thespian Society (ITS) is an honorary organization for high-school & middle-school theatre students located at more than 3,600 affiliated secondary schools across the United States, Canada, and abroad. The mission of ITS is to honor student excellence in the theater arts; its motto is, "Act well thy part; there all the honor lies." It is a division of the Educational Theatre Association.

Students must log hours working on or in theatre productions before becoming eligible for the ITS. Thunderbird’s ITS inducts high school students active in theater each year, with members earning points towards a higher status within the society. The officers within the club are student leaders, elected annually.

The Masque and Dagger Drama Club is open to all students interested in the theatre arts. The major purposes for the club are personal enrichment, and the development of the theatrical experience & culture on Thunderbird’s campus. This club is responsible for the school-wide productions and the field trips the theatre department takes to local workshops as well as our yearly California trip. Students interested in participating should contact the Theatre Department or Mr. Cox for further details.
