Welcome to Thunderbird, home of the Chiefs.  The tradition of excellence at our school is built not only on the dedicated teachers, staff, and administrators that call THS home, it also depends on outstanding attendance, behavior, and involvement in extra-curricular activities on the part of our students.

Advice for students:  Attendance is crucial to your success.  Your education depends on it, and it is the single most important factor in determining who graduates and who does not.  Also, try your best to stay focused on the future—your future.  Life, with diploma in hand, is an exciting journey, so be a forward-thinker.  Finally, get involved in school activities and take advantage of everything that THS has to offer.  You will benefit from a richer high school experience that will better prepare you for the challenges that wait ahead.

Advice for parents and guardians:  Be involved and show interest in your teenager’s life.  Simply asking questions about how the day went goes a long way.  In addition, stress the importance of a good education and be firm about your expectations for school and personal behavior.  And lastly, review the THS Student Handbook that every student receives and check this website regularly for up-to-date information on school policies and activities.

My goals are to help students make good decisions and to help curtail any behavioral issues before they become problems.  Keeping those goals in mind, let’s have a safe, fun, and exciting year together!
