GETS BETTER… ONE
BRICK AT A TIME
The Quad ( the area in the center of
campus – the space between the cafeteria, main gym , band room and
office) looks awful doesn’t it? There aren’t enough places to
sit. Grass grows in some places but is trampled in others. When it
rains, it floods! The trash cans are a great home to bees! It’s
gross!
The Chief Parent Association has decided to renovate the
Quad! We had an architect design a gathering place for students
complete with an amphitheatre for performances, additional seating,
shaded areas, lovely landscaping, and garbage cans painted by the
students. Sounds expensive, huh? It is!
We began a fundraising project during the 2005-06 school
year. You can order a personalized brick that will be combined
with others to form walkways throughout campus. Commemorate a high
school achievement, pay tribute to a favorite teacher, immortalize a
sports record, celebrate a graduation, remember a scholastic award
or a part in the play, advertise your business…the possibilities are
endless!
For $50 you can leave a lasting legacy at Thunderbird and
help improve the Thunderbird campus! Fill out the order form, attach
a check, and submit it to the bookstore for approval. All
proceeds from the Brick Project will go into a fund for the Quad
renovation.
