IMPORTANT!
-Even if you got your free physical, you must still turn in a completed athletic packet to the athletic office before going out for sports for the 2013-2014 school year.
Frequently asked questions:
- Q Where can I get an athletic packet?
A. packets can be picked up in the front office.
- Q When can I turn in my packet?
A. The sooner the better! BUT packets can be turned in before school ends for summer, the week of registration, first day of school, or a week before tryouts.
- Q Where do I turn in my athletic packet?
A. Packets must be turned in to the athletic office!!
- Q What if I am an incoming freshman?
A. ALL incoming freshman who want to play sports must complete an athletic packet, complete the concussion test and turn in the certificate and watch the sports risk video(will be shown at walk through registration)!
- Q What if I am a transfer student?
A. ALL transfer students must complete the packet, concussion test and watch the video. Also, you must complete the 520 form.
A. If you are transferring from a school within the district and have already completed the video and concussion test, let the athletic secretary know and she will request that info from your previous school. You must compete the 520 form and athletic packet.
- Q What if I am a returning student?
A. All returning students who have completed the concussion test and video DO NOT have to do them again. However, ALL students must complete and turn in an athletic packet and have a physical every year.
- Q I know insurance is required to play sports, What if I do not have insurance?
A. If you do not have insurance, you can purchase the school insurance through the athletic office. Pamphlets will be available sometime in July.

Interscholastic Athletics
An interscholastic athletic program is available to all students at Thunderbird High School. Programs available to boys are football, cross country, basketball, wrestling, soccer, tennis, baseball, swimming, golf and track. Programs available to girls are badminton, swimming, tennis, volleyball, softball, cross country, golf, track and basketball.
Participation in one or more of these activities offers a student an opportunity to develop physical skills, positive attitudes, team work and lasting friendships. Participation is an investment in the future.
