Welcome to Thunderbird High School, where you will find a deep commitment to student achievement.  As an Excelling School, Thunderbird takes pride in preparing our students for the opportunities that await them in their post secondary future.  Here at Thunderbird, we maintain a safe community, conducive to student learning.  Our goal is to challenge each and every student to reach his/her potential.  The assistant principal for student services oversees the counseling staff, and together, we work to ensure the academic success of every student.  Each student is assigned a counselor that will help students design a four year plan and offer guidance for post-secondary plans.  Counselors also maintain an open door policy, remaining accessible to meet students’ academic and emotional needs. Additionally, the student services’ office oversees all testing - the national Terra Nova test, Advanced Placement tests, the state AIMS exam, as well as our local district assessments.  Information regarding testing will be frequently updated on the website throughout the year.  However, as important dates approach, information will be sent home through other avenues as well.  Periodically check this website, but most importantly, frequent the school parent portal which provides the most up to date academic information regarding your child.
