In December 2010, GUHSD’s Governing Board approved the formation of a Revenue Generating Committee. The committee, made up of parents, community members, principals, assistant principals, teachers, support staff employees and students, gathered in early February where they learned the current state of GUHSD’s budget and issues related to aging facilites. The committee was given the charge to research and bring forth a recommendation to the board regarding the need to go for a district bond to address facility’s needs. As a part of their process, the committee will be conducting three community forums to gather input and study the facility needs of the district.
GUHSD needs input from their communities. Please plan to attend an upcoming budget presentation meeting and join in the discussion regarding aging facilities and the plans for the future of GUHSD.
