On Saturday the 19th Shemer Art center hosted their annual New Horizons Student Art exhibition. This is an event that has been happening for over 30 years and showcases the best student art from high schools across the valley, only accepting two artworks from each participating school. The competition is tough and every single piece entered into the show deserves an award because it is incredible work. Our very own Taylor Hamaker, a junior in Advanced 3-D Design, was recognized for her amazing work titled For Ursula and awarded the Tanner Whyman Scholarship award. If you would like to see her work in person it will be on display at city hall through the month of March and it will continue to be on display at the Shemer Art Center until February 14th.
