Top students across the nation strive each year to receive the title of National Merit Finalist.

Three Thunderbird Seniors have received the honor of being named 2012 National Merit Finalist.  They are Kent Morrissey, Seve De Respino and Ender Davis.

To receive this honor, each student scored in the top one percent on the Practice Scholastic Assessment Test or PSAT.  "This is a great achievement since the PSAT testing curve has heightened in the last few years"  according to THS Counselor, Lauren Colombo.

The next step for the Finalists is to apply for scholarship money, competing against other Finalists from across the country.  Money is given to 8,000 of the 15,000 Finalists.
