Ø      Free help to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to get $$$ for college
Ø      Complete your FAFSA online at most locations
Ø      Chance to win scholarships and laptops
Ø      Bring your 2008 tax returns, if available, or W-2’s, Social Security numbers and other tax information
Ø      Bring your parents tax information, also, unless you are a foster youth. Foster youth do not need parent tax info.
Free help for College $$$
Over 300 financial aid professionals will be on hand to help students and families complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is the first critical step in applying for financial aid (grants, loans, etc.). There are 22 sites across the state that will be open from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M.on February 8, 2009, with 8 select sites on February 7, 2009. In 2008, over 3,500 students and parents attended the event and 18,000 visited the website for help.
